Tutorial programme, leadership resources & CPD zone
- Entire skills-based tutorial scheme from transition to sixth form to final exams, results day.
- Featuring post-16 students sharing unscripted, genuione advice on how to make a success of sixth form
- 2-year scheme. 80+ videos. Optional workbooks.
- Each 5-6 mins video features two discussion activities to help engage students and get them talking about skills, mindset and behaviours for academic success.
- Use in tutor time once per week or in assembly.
- Webinar Briefings - Each half term we host member-only webinars to keep you updated on key themes pertinent to the moment e.g. census, recruitment, curriculum changes.
- Extended webinars - longer sessions to go into greater depth eg. copying under a cyber attack, using AI in your sixth form. Invite a wider range of staff for these sessions as they often require a team approach.
- Weekly email - members receive a weekly email with remidners of resources to use and key updates.
- Discount - member rates for our national conferences so you sve money on your membership.
- Free extra delegate place - for our popular online conferences in November and June, after booking an initial place, members get a free second delegate from your membership centre, so you can involve another member of your managament team.

Our tutorial scheme delivers on the skills for academic success
- Central to our tutorial resources is Getting the Grades Video Tutorial Scheme
- Being academically successful in the sixth form to deliver on student grades for their progression and value-add for school performance measures.
- Entire skills-based tutorial scheme from transition to sixth form to final exams, results day.
- Featuring post-16 students sharing unscripted, genuione advice on how to make a success of sixth form
- 2-year scheme. 80+ videos. Optional workbooks.
- Each 5-6 mins video features two discussion activities to help engage students and get them talking about skills, mindset and behaviours for academic success.
- Use in tutor time once per week or in assembly.
- All tutors need to do is click on the relevant video, play in tutor time.
- Pause in the middle of each video to engage in the discusison activity.
- Pause at the end of the video for the plenary discussioin activity.
- Your students will be learning from former post-16 students, all from state schools, across the ability range but with many who are highly aspirational.
- Each student featured in the video also shows their final destination (course, university or apprenticeship).
- If you are not into workbooks, don't worry: each video is a complete resource in itself.
- Each video is 5-6 mins in length plus discussion, so can easily run from 10 mins to however long the tutorial discussion lasts.
- Longer tutorial sessions? Use our Individual workbooks. One per student with extension tasks related to each video.
- Need some way of gauging the progress through the scheme in each tutor group? Use our Class workbooks, One per tutor group. One student records the outcome form the class discussion.
- Want to create your own scheme using the videos and workbook activities? Use our Bespoke workbooks (class or individual) which allow you to print off only the pages you want and arrnage into any order.
